Festa’s Mardi Gras-Themed, Bead-Collecting Pub Crawl
At this event, travel to some of Wrigleyville’s most popular destination bars and compete for numbered beads at each stop. BeadQuest completely embodies the manic energy and unique experience that has become trademark of every Festa event and has been a huge hit in the Chicago Party Scene since its inception back in 2009. BeadQuest is a great way to kick the winter blues and gives Chicagoans something exciting to do! BeadQuest falls on the 3rd weekend in February and is right after Valentine’s Day. Each year, attendance continues to grow – 2009 saw 1,000 participants, in 2010 there were 1,100 and over 1,200 crawlers came out in 2011 — with that many attendees it’s impossible NOT to have a wonderful experience! Over 10,000 Beads are distributed throughout the course of the bar crawl, but participants have to earn them – it’s more fun when you have to work for your reward!

Wrigleyville transforms into Bourbon Street as soon as BeadQuest rolls through. Masks, feathers, crazy hats, over-sized glasses, and sequins replace the familiar “Cubby Blue” and baseball caps – not even a Windy City winter can keep participants from baring some skin!

What keeps participants returning to BeadQuest year after year is that this event is not your traditional bar crawl. It’s a Bead Frenzy Scavenger Hunt! Our wonderful Bead Bitchezzz and Bastardzzz are responsible for distributing the numbered beads at an unannounced moment during each hour of the bar crawl. Participants who collect every numbered bead are re-entered into our Raffle drawing for a chance to win terrific prizes. This year’s Grand Prize was a pair of rooftop tickets to Cubs Opening Day, courtesy of Wrigleyville Rooftops.

At the end of BeadQuest, crawlers return to Murphy’s Bleachers for the Raffle Drawing and Karaoke Party! -

BeadQuest starts at Murphy’s Bleachers at 1:30pm and winds through the watering holes surrounding Wrigley Field. At BeadQuest, crawlers do stick together and move from bar to bar every hour. The group returns to Murphy’s Bleachers at 10pm for the Raffle Drawing and Karaoke Party. This party is only for BeadQuest participants and it’s the climactic ending to a fun-filled, fabulous day.
