Attention BeadQuest 4 Attendees!!

Thanks so much for making BQ4 the biggest and best BeadQuest ever!!!  In our ever-ongoing quest to provide you with great Customer Service, we wanted to make the following announcement..

In the first 2 years of BeadQuest, our plan was to give Raffle Entries to everyone who collected all 9 beads.  However, this did NOT work out well.  Having 700 to 1,000 people who have been crawling for 10 hours come into one spot to show our customer service people their chests and all the beads they got, and make judgment calls / have arguments, etc, and try to do all this and fill out the entries all at once… just did NOT work out well, for obvious reasons.  Also, when we drew raffle entries on stage at Karaoke, and tried to call names or numbers, with all the loudness and chaos, that also caused problems.  So our solution, implemented in 2010, was to give EVERYONE who registered a raffle entry, draw that evening, and then call everyone who did not claim their prize on the spot – and – since you might not hear the announcement, NOT make you be present to win.  We’ve just announced all 30+ winners, and hope you will all enjoy your prizes.

However, a couple of people did point out to me that there was a sentence buried on our web site, referring to the fact that you’d get an extra raffle entry if you collected all 9 beads. Although this was referring to the previous years of the event, we do see how it could have been misinterpreted.  So in light of this, we are doing the following……….

IF YOU COLLECTED ALL 9 OF THE OFFICIAL NUMBERED DISC BEADS (and we assume of course that you still have them!!!) – You can win Free Tickets for our Next, Upcoming Event on April 28, COVER YOUR BASES 4, our Baseball-Themed, Sticker-Collecting Pub Crawl in Wrigleyville.  All you have to do is take a picture of YOU with ALL 9 of your BEADS and your ADMISSION BADGE, and post it to our FACEBOOK PAGE. Rules are:

The First 5 People to Post Before Midnight Central Time on Sunday, February 26th will win FOUR TICKETS TO COVER YOUR BASES!!!

The Next 10 People after that to Post Before Midnight Central Time on Sunday, February 26th will win TWO TICKETS TO COVER YOUR BASES!!!

Greetings!!!  BEADQUEST is all set for SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 18th, 2012, starting officially at 1:30PM at Murphy’s Bleachers at the Corner of Sheffield and Waveland, right across from the Bleacher Entrance of Wrigley Field, One Block from the Addison Red Line Station.

If you have bought your ticket in Advance, you can pick it up FRIDAY UNTIL 9PM at the FESTA PARTIES OFFICE at 4314 North Lincoln Avenue, or, SATURDAY, DAY OF EVENT, at Murphy’s Bleachers, starting at 1:15PM (We may open earlier… we’ll try!)  — GO IN THE AUXILIARY SOUTH ENTRANCE of MURPHY’S.  If you already picked up your ticket, go RIGHT INTO THE MAIN ROOM and START PARTYING.  If you have your badge/ticket already, you can arrive as early as noon or 12:30!

You may buy a ticket the day of the event at Murphy’s Bleachers in the Separate BUY line starting at 1:15 also.  Note that you may NOT get a t-shirt if you wait to buy until the day of the event.

If you have bought your ticket in advance, you’ll be 98% guaranteed to get a t-shirt...we are going to cut off advance sales at the number of t-shirts.

We will be giving out Beads at Murphy’s and at EVERY ONE OF THE NINE STOPS on the ROUTE — the SCHEDULE will be on the BACK OF YOUR BADGE.

Ticket will include Admission to Event, plus BeadQuest T-Shirt for at the first Pre-Registered Participants. This event has become a Festa Staple and a perfect antidote for the Winter Blues!! It comes right after Valentine’s Day and before March Madness and St. Patrick’s Day, so if you’re looking to spice up February with a taste of New Orleans, BEADQUEST is for you!  Starting at Murphy’s Bleachers, participants make 10 stops and collect NUMBERED BEADS at each bar. The goal is to collect all the beads and then we have a Private Karaoke Party at the end with great raffle prizes given out!  Read on….

If you like our flagship event, TBOX, the 12 Bars of Xmas, then you will LOVE BEADQUEST!  And if you liked TBOX, say, in 2001/2002/2003 – then you’ll really like BeadQuest because that’s about how big it is (for now!!!) – everyone goes together from one bar to the other, YOU DON’T HAVE TO WAKE UP AT 6AM!, and we of course still want you to dress festively!  There will be $3 Miller Lite specials at every bar too!
